GH Spoilers: Michael Has Second Thoughts, But Dex Isn’t Backing Down

General Hospital Spoilers tease Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) isn’t sure he wants to continue with his plan to take his father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), down. He’s been here before. Twice already he has gone to Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) with the intent to call the whole thing off. Each time, Dex has convinced him to hang on because they’re just too close to pulling it off and ending Sonny’s criminal reign over Port Charles. This time around is different, but Dex won’t care.

General Hospital Spoilers — It Was Willow Tait’s Idea Before

Michael has already approached Dex twice before about this issue. He wanted to call the whole revenge plan off against his dad on two occasions, but Dex assured him they were in too deep now to do so, and that it would be any day and he would have the information they needed to take Sonny down.

So Michael kept hanging on and let Dex convince him not to throw in the towel. However, he never truly wanted to back down in those instances but he felt pressure from Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), who has urged him to make amends with his father for months as she’s wasted away from cancer. It’s possible Michael heard the message loud and clear that life is too short for cutting your father out of your life.

GH Spoilers – Suggest His Reasons Are Different Now

Michael has different reasons for wanting to hold off on ruining his dad this time around. The latest family crisis has opened his eyes to who he can really trust and rely on. He has been rocked to his core by the revelation that his mother, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), betrayed him and Willow so deeply.

When Willow was rushed to the hospital, Sonny swooped in to make sure Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) was okay at home after witnessing his mother collapsing on the stairs. Sonny has been by Michael and Willow’s side for days at the hospital, too. Michael may see his father in a different light, and with Willow close to possible death, he may be longing for his support more than he is for payback.

General Hospital Spoilers — Dex Heller Is On A Warpath, But Why?

When Michael approaches Dex next time about calling off the hunt for Sonny’s blood, Dex won’t hear of it. He’s worked too hard to get the evidence needed to ruin Sonny to just close up shop and walk away now. It won’t sit well with Michael that Dex isn’t willing to back down because it was always the plan that he would disappear after the takedown anyway.

Now, Dex seems to have his sights set on different plans and needs to make sure Sonny is locked up so he can remain in Port Charles. Might that have something to do with his recent decision to jump into bed with Michael’s sister, Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy)? Stay tuned for more General Hospital news and spoilers to find out.
