GH Spoilers: Michael Grows Worried That Willow Won’t Survive Much Longer

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) is concerned that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) isn’t going to survive the road ahead. Sure, the doctors sound like there is real promise in the idea to use stem cells from the baby’s umbilical cord to save Willow’s life, but it’s not black and white. So many things could go wrong, and Willow is so weak.

When the baby is delivered with complications, it’s going to leave Michael spiraling and wondering if his whole world is about to crash and burn. Willow and Michael can’t take losing another child, but he also can’t lose her.

Willow has already lost a child before and it nearly broke her. Michael would never dream of putting her through that again, but Willow has Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) now, and he knows she doesn’t feel anything less than a real mother-child connection with him.

Biology doesn’t matter to Willow, as is evidenced by how little she cares that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is her birth mother. When Michael realizes they may lose their daughter after attempting to save Willow by delivering the baby early, he’ll be reeling with guilt and will dread having to tell Willow what’s going on with her baby girl.

Of course, this is a heavy burden for Michael to bear. While it’s not the same because he ended up with his child back in his arms, Michael does know how Willow felt when she found out her child had died, because he’s been through that, too. When Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) and Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) switched Michael’s baby Wiley with Nelle’s baby Jonah — who had died of SIDS — Michael was led to believe his son had died for a long time. Although the truth eventually came out and Michael got his son back, he’ll never forget the pain of believing he was gone and doesn’t want to endure that again either.

As Willow’s doctors race to save her life and rely on Michael to make important choices for their daughter in the interim, he could end up faced with an impossible choice: save Willow, or save the baby. On one hand, Michael knows that he and Willow already have a life together, and she is already Wiley’s mother. Choosing the new baby’s life over

Willow’s would mean Wiley loses the mom who has raised him. He and Willow could also potentially go on to have more children, but there is a risk that the chemotherapy treatments would have crushed any chance of that. How can Michael make such an impossible choice and what would Willow want him to do when it really feels like he’s choosing between Wiley and their new baby.
