GH Spoilers: Michael Fears the Worst — That His Father Will Choose Nina, Again

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) is armed with all the truth he’ll ever need to take Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) down — or so he’s telling himself. Having Martin ‘Marty’ Grey (Michael E. Knight) confirm what his contact at the SEC has already relayed to him settled Michael’s nerves but likely only fueled his anger.

If fans are expecting him to run to his father with this news, we might have to take a step back and remember where Michael’s relationship with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) really stands right now. Michael is going to survey the room before he delivers this kind of gut punch, and he’s not going to like what comes next for him.

General Hospital Spoilers — Willow Tait Is So Happy

Michael has waited so long to see a smile plastered across his wife’s face. When they got married, he wasn’t sure they would even have more than a month or two of time together before cancer claimed Willow’s life.

Now, she has recovered and is barreling toward remission, expecting to live a full life alongside her husband — and her new mom.

The thought of taking that newfound happiness away from Willow — and their son, Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) — is devastating to Michael. But not quite as hard as the real reason he’s thinking about holding back on telling the truth.

GH Spoilers – Hint Carly Spencer Is Moving On

Michael also knows his silence would make him complicit in Nina’s actions to have Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) thrown in prison, the very place Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) ended up. But he doesn’t want to rock the boat for them, or his mother’s relationship with his father.

Carly has finally moved on — even from her vendetta against Nina. She has found some peace in the rebuilding of her life.

If she knew it was Nina all along who did this, it may spark a war like this family has never seen — especially if Sonny remains on Nina’s side. Therein lies the rub.

General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Corinthos Is Settled

Sonny is happy, too. There is peace at last in this family unit, however blended it must be. The siblings are getting along. Almost everyone, sans Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy), is on board with Sonny and Nina’s marriage.

Most of all — Sonny is happy. He’s settled. But Michael isn’t worried that the truth would set Sonny free of Nina.

Rather, he’s going to be concerned that Sonny wouldn’t blink at the news and would find some way to exonerate Nina — at the very least in his own eyes — just so he could hold onto her.

Will he choose Nina over his family yet again? Michael may be so afraid of the answer to that question that he stalls moving forward entirely. Keep checking back for more GH news and spoilers to see how this shakes out.
