When it was revealed that Sonny was alive, they broke off their marriage only to find that things were not as they seemed.

Nina concealed Sonny’s identity from his family, back when he thought he was “Mike.” This led to some pretty serious complications, including his son Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) vendetta against Nina.

Michael was salty that his mom Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) was deprived of his dad Sonny, despite the fact that she had moved on with Jason.

This led to his feeling animosity toward Nina and a campaign of hate toward Sonny. Maybe he had the right idea?

Fans know that Nina is the one who turned in Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Matheson) to the SEC for insider trading. This led to Drew taking the fall and being incarcerated at Pentonville.

Drew was recently bet up there, making Nina’s involvement and back door dealings even more insidious.
