Maxie is finally ready for change. As a mother of three, she joked about herself that she had been doing her best with a two-bedroom apartment all these years. Why didn’t she move sooner? It’s certainly not a matter of money. No, it was a matter of her heart.

She’s been holding onto the memories of her marriage to Nathan, and that apartment was the place they shared together and made a home. Walking away from it is going to be hard, but Maxie is ready to let someone else into her life, and her home.

Brook Lynn might get worried at first that Maxie has designs on hooking up with her latest ex, Dr. Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth). That couldn’t be further from her mind.

However, if Brook Lynn inquires about whether Maxie has anyone in mind that has caught her eye, she might hint to round to the fact that someone has. Fans are jonesing for a Maxie and Spinelli reboot, but word on the street is she is far from being on the same page as Spinelli right now. Sorry Spin, you’ll have to keep pining.

Could it be that Maxie is developing a crush on Cody Bell (Josh Kelly)? We haven’t seen them together recently, but Maxie was a big fan of his when she temporarily thought he might have been her brother – well, her stepbrother?

It’s definitely going to unnerve Cody when Sasha Gimore Corbin (Sofia Mattson) suggests he should take Maxie out sometime. Sasha and Brook Lynn are great at playing matchmaker, but little do they realize Cody only has eyes for Sasha.

Moreover, when it comes to light that Maxie is actually into Cody and thinks he’s a great guy, it’s going to cause a lot of discomfort for Cody — who is well aware that her stepdad is his biological father. How is Cody possibly going to weasel out of this one, and will you be cringing as badly as we will when this plays out?
