General Hospital spoilers spill Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) are about to find themselves in a rather precarious position. They have stood by Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) throughout her struggles with addiction and mental health breakdowns.
But the straw that broke the camel’s back has arrived, and they both know their company, Deception, cannot survive another scandal with Sasha involved.
They have to vote her out of the company and demote her as the Face of Deception. This might come as a crushing blow to Sasha, who already feels like she’s lost everything.
Furthermore, with Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) hovering over her and keeping her drugged up, it’s likely Sasha may not fully be able to process what Lucy and Maxie are saying to her — that they’re cutting ties.
GH spoilers show when Sasha lost her son, Liam Mike Corbin, it was completely understandable that she needed time off to grieve that loss. Soon after, she lost her husband, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor), too.
Lucy and Maxie were more than understanding of the shoes she was in. Maxie knows first-hand what it’s like to lose her other half, and she grieved alongside Sasha going through that.
Turning to drugs was the last thing they expected from Sasha, and it was clear that returning to work too early played a role in that.
An onslaught of issues with addiction and her spiraling mental health ensured, and yet, they stood by her.
Deception was their baby — and three of them brought it to life. Maxie and Lucy never wanted to go at it without Sasha, but that may be necessary now. Will she be as understanding as they have been?
Lucy has always been a bit more business-minded than Maxie or Sasha are. She’s constantly worried about her brand and making sure nothing tarnishes Deception’s reputation too much.
From her point of view, someone has to be crass enough to cut through the emotions and keep a strong grasp on that. Of course, at times, it makes Lucy appear a bit cold and standoffish.
She cares about Sasha, but to a point. While she won’t hold it against Sasha that she has seemingly spiraled out of control, she’s not going to embrace her recovery as much this time around as a means of getting her back to work.
Maxie is very different from Lucy, thankfully. She wears her heart on her sleeve and it will bleed for Sasha.
Seeing her in such a devastatingly low state is going to hit Maxie where it hurts, and she may be the one person who can push Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) to really dig into Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) and figure out whether Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) is correct in assuming she’s out to keep Sasha’s fortune for herself.
Still, Maxie and Lucy will have to break the news to Sasha that she’s no longer one of them and they have to vote her out at Deception for the betterment of their company’s survival.
