GH Spoilers: Kate Mansi’s Kristina Steals Chase From Brook Lynn?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Days of our Lives alum Kate Mansi (Abigail DiMera) has been recast in the role of Kristina Corinthos-Davis, last played by Lexi Ainsworth. She debuts the week of May 22-26, at the end of May Sweeps, and it looks like it will be an auspicious beginning for the daytime legend.

Why did the recast happen? Mansi is a few years older than Ainsworth and many fans think Kristina is in for a meaty storyline in the coming weeks and months.

The rumor mill is rife with conjecture that Kristina will be a surrogate for her sister Molly Lansing-Davis (Hayley Pullos).

Kristina is a firecracker on her best days and carrying a child for the first time, then handing the infant over, has the potential to test the most dedicated of surrogates. If this storyline materializes it will require an emotional depth that Mansi has proven is in her repertoire.

No doubt the show will chem test the actress as well, pairing her with leading men to see how they spark onscreen, and how the audience reacts to the coupling.

Kristina hasn’t had a solid relationship since … well, let’s just say her personal life has been full of ups and downs. At one time she was involved with an abusive boyfriend, then her mother ran him down and killed him.

She also fell for her taken college professor, and had to be kidnapped out of a corrupt cult.
Perhaps with Mansi on board the show will take the character in a different direction as impulsive Kristina had somewhat been written into a corner.

General Hospital Spoilers – Who Will Kristina Corinthos-Davis Fall For?

Right now there are plenty of eligible singletons on the canvas that could be a possible love interest for Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) daughter.

What about Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard)? His relationship with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) has been star-crossed and its only a matter of time before he finds out BLQ pulled strings to get him back on at the PCPD. When that happens, it’s likely over for good between them.

In the meantime, having Kristina fall for Chase would create some delicious drama if BLQ thinks her man is being poached. Tell us GH fans, are you shipping Chase and Kristina? Or is there someone else you would like to see loose cannon paired with?
