GH Spoilers: Is Sprina At Risk As Old Sparks Ignite Between Esme And Spencer?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) have no love lost between them — or at least that’s what they and everyone else believe. Finding out that Esme had fooled him the entire time they were together before as part of the game she was playing with her father, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), cut Spencer to his core. The Cassadine ego is rather large, and it can only take so many punches before it bites back.

The last thing Spencer would ever expect is to develop feelings for Esme ever again, but word on the street is that’s just what’s going to happen when Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is away, leaving Esme and Spencer to navigate life with Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) on their own. What both of them thought would be a terrible experience is going to turn out to be a bonding one. What does this mean for the future of Spencer and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali)?

General Hospital Spoilers — Laura Collins Left Spencer Cassadine And Esme Price To Their Devices

Laura was mildly concerned when she left town that Esme and Spencer might tear each other to shreds while she was gone. But she needed to do this. She has to know that her son, Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss), is okay.

Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) insisted on going with her, given that she is traveling to a dangerous, war-torn nation. She just can’t prioritize Spencer and Esme right now, but she’s hoping that they will lean on each other — instead of digging into each other — while she’s gone. Perhaps Laura’s instincts aren’t that far off course.

GH Spoilers – Hint Esme Price Hopes Spencer Cassadine Will Meet Her Halfway

Esme will keep Laura’s good advice in her mind while she’s away. Laura believed that Spencer would meet Esme halfway, and that’s just what he will do, much to Esme’s surprise. It won’t shock Trina though, as she saw evidence of Spencer’s helpfulness and skill as a father figure when she was visiting the other day.

Spencer and Esme seem to be working as a well-oiled machine — a team that serves to meet Ace’s needs in a timely manner without too much chaos. Sure, they quip back-and-forth at one another, and the snarky comebacks never cease. But Spencer and Esme both have the same goal in mind — making sure that Ace is taken care of and happy.

As much as Trina knows that is best for Spencer’s baby brother, she can’t help but feel like it’s the worst thing that could happen to their relationship.

Remember, Spencer kept the manufactured evidence Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) left him in his will. Maybe he will be able to convince Esme that she really wrote that letter, and encourage her to turn herself in for the crimes she committed that she doesn’t remember.

Before he can deploy any efforts against Esme, rumor has it an emergency will take place that aids in changing their dynamic while Laura is away.

Without her guidance to rely upon, Spencer and Esme will have to figure out things with Ace on their own – and there are a few circumstances that can certainly serve to bond them in the process — and emergency with Ace being one of them.

As they come to rely upon one another to take care of Ace, Spencer might start to see Esme in a different light. Will he find himself feeling things for Esme 2.0 that he never expected? Word on the street is that’s just what’s going to happen, and it could leave Trina out in the cold.
