GH Spoilers: Heather Confesses: “I’m The Hook!” — and the PCPD Scramble to Make it Make Sense

General Hospital spoilers suggest Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) is in hot water, and mommy dearest, Heather Webber (Alley Mills) just might resort to desperate measures to keep her long lost baby girl out of jail. As difficult as it was for Heather and Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) not to know where Esme was since the last time she stopped by Spring Ridge to see her maniacal father, it’s going to be even harder for them to watch her get locked up — while she’s pregnant, no less. What are two parents in jail to do when their child is in need? All they can do — convince the world Esme wasn’t behind the crimes she has been suspected of, because her own mother was.

Ryan is pushing Heather to confess to her crimes, and potentially some others as well. Although Ryan and Heather cannot be certain that Esme even committed the other hook assaults, they are worried enough that she did to possibly take the gamble on confessing to a stranger’s attacks. Still, it’s Heather’s “freedom” on the line, not Ryan’s, and that risk may not seem fair and balanced to her, despite the fact that she doesn’t really have much freedom. She definitely doesn’t want to risk going back to D’Archem either, but she knows she has a golden opportunity to possibly save her daughter from persecution.

When Heather confesses, the whole town will be shocked. This is definitely going to put Spring Ridge under a magnifying glass. How is a career criminal like Heather able to obtain the privilege of sneaking in and out of a prison — minimum security or otherwise — to do her horrendous bidding about town? After Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) was able to do the same last year just to sneak off to the cemetery on his mother’s birthday, it might be worth the investigation. That being said, when Heather confesses, the PCPD are going to be highly suspicious. Sure, she has a wound — which might land Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in some hot water — but she doesn’t have the details of every hooking the way The Hook should. Is she going to botch that confession and make it clear she’s confessing to a crime she didn’t commit?

When the PCPD realize Heather isn’t really guilty of all she claims to have done, they’re going to know she’s trying to help Esme escape prosecution. But why? What is her connection to the young girl, and does it have something to do with the connection Ryan allegedly shared with her, too?
