GH Spoilers: Gregory Has To Come Clean — Which Son Will He Tell First?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) has been diagnosed with ALS, and he hasn’t told a soul except for Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). Gregory expects that he has some time before he has symptoms that are severe enough to warrant him telling his sons that he is dying, slowly but surely. However, someone else is about to unearth his secret by complete accident, and it will leave him questioning whether it’s fair to expect them to keep that secret, too.

Still, revealing his illness to Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) won’t be easy. So maybe he’ll take his time trying to get up the nerve to do it, and in the meantime, his hesitancy could backfire on everyone involved.

Alexis wasn’t supposed to know anything, but Gregory couldn’t disguise his odd behavior any longer. Alexis wouldn’t mind her business and when she went out of her way to contact Gregory’s employer, she didn’t expect to find out he didn’t have one anymore.

One thing led to another and Gregory was compelled to tell her the truth versus turning away from her altogether. Still, it was a big ask to request that Alexis keep the truth from Finn — who has been her friend far longer than his father has.

Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) has recently been promoted to Head Nurse, following in Epiphany Johnson’s (Sonya Eddy) footsteps. Elizabeth is more than qualified to do the job, and she knows it comes with a great deal of responsibility.

Patient privacy is not only a huge ethical part of her job, but it’s a legal part of the job, too. However, Elizabeth is going to struggle with what she learns when she finds out Gregory is living with a terminal illness — and Finn doesn’t know.

Elizabeth will encourage Gregory to tell his sons the truth, affirming that they can both handle it and would want to be there for him in his time of need. But that’s just what Gregory doesn’t want. He doesn’t want their pity, and he doesn’t want them putting their own lives on hold to manage the end of his.

Of course, the more he delays telling them what he’s up against, the longer Elizabeth will have to keep this secret from Finn — all while it appears they’re trying to find their way back to one another.

Gregory won’t want to be responsible for tearing their relationship apart because of yet another secret — and this time, one he asked Elizabeth to keep.
