GH Spoilers: Gladys Worries: Will Sonny Really Ax His Own Cousin?

General Hospital spoilers suggest Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) was stunned when Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) showed up at her door.

She was prepared to throw Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) under the bus and probably should’ve smelled the apparent setup from a mile away.

As Sonny scrutinized every word Gladys said, scanned her luggage in judgment, and called her to task for taking advantage of Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson), Gladys walked right into his trap — unaware of how much he already knew.

Paralyzed by fear as Sonny made sure she knew he was certain she had told her last lie, we’re left to wonder just how far Sonny will go to make Gladys pay.

General Hospital Spoilers — Stealing From Sasha Gilmore Corbin Came After Many Mistakes

The first of many mistakes Gladys made began when she linked up with Selina Wu (Lydia Look). Getting herself into debt with a known mobster was an error of serious magnitude like nothing Gladys had ever found herself embroiled in before.

Working to pay off that debt was a growing concern, and it led Gladys straight to her next mistake: selling Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) garage out from under a grieving Sasha.

To add insult to injury, Gladys continued to wrack up debt that she couldn’t cover with her own income — leading her to keep spending Sasha’s fortune to clean up her own mistakes.

GH Spoilers – Spill Gladys Corbin Tried to Force Nina Reeves’s Hand

When Gladys went to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) in search of help paying off Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder), she did so believing she could get NIna to fall for her tricks — and it worked, for a time.

Nina took the bait, reluctantly, and wanted to help Gladys get Sasha out of Ferncliff. But when the truth came out that Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) had accused Gladys of stealing from Sasha and setting her up to be locked up in that asylum for the criminally insane.

Nina was quick to tell Sonny the truth. Oddly enough, he overlooked the fact that she didn’t tell him until that point.

General Hospital Spoilers — Will the Mafioso Have Any Sympathy?

We have to wonder whether Sonny is going to show his cousin any grace after all that she’s done.

He knew better than to trust her, and yet he minded his own business and stayed out of hers even when he thought she was up to no good.

He saw her with Selina on many occasions, but Gladys never fessed up to being involved with her.

Sonny knows very well what a gambling problem looks like, and he may have had his suspicions about how Gladys and Selina came to be running in the same circle.

Nonetheless, Sasha isn’t the only victim here. Gladys did lose her son and grandson, just as Sasha lost her husband and child.

Will Sonny be able to show her any mercy, or is his threat to make sure she never lies again a promise that she’ll soon be sleeping with the fishes?
