GH Spoilers: Gladys Scrambles To Pay Her Debts — And Selina Offers Her A Way Out

General Hospital spoilers tease Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) has been reeling with anxiety ever since Selina Wu (Lydia Look) left for Singapore, making it clear she would expect Gladys to clear her debts by the time she got back. As the days inch closer to Selina’s arrival back in Port Charles, Gladys has been wracking her brain for new and potentially illegal ways to square up with the mob princess.

She knows that Selina is open to bartering things of value if Gladys doesn’t have the $80 grand in cash to drop on the poker table. So when Selina comes home with an idea for Gladys to clear her debts in one fell swoop, the gambling addict will be all for it. But that doesn’t mean she’s going to feel secure in pulling off the feat Selina will ask for.

Selina knows Gladys isn’t good for the money she owes. Everything she’s been playing with has been Monopoly money to her, courtesy of her daughter-in-law, Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattson) — who has no idea Gladys has been dipping into her personal bank accounts to feed her gambling habit. Sasha is working to get control of her funds back, and she sees no reason why Gladys would balk at that.

In fact, Gladys can’t — she has no evidence to show Sasha is unstable or incapable of taking charge of her life again. When she is on the brink of losing control of Sasha’s fortune, she may agree to resort to Selina’s desperate measures to make things flush again.

Gladys might not be worth much of anything to Selina, but the mobstress knows she could easily put a price on Sasha’s head. So, how much will it take? A cool $80,000 to clear Gladys’ debts — at the expense of terrorizing her daughter-in-law?

General Hospital spoilers show Selina may come home and pitch the idea to Gladys that she has her enforcers kidnap Sasha and hold her for a handsome ransom. At first, Gladys might resist this idea, but it’s the only way to delay the court proceedings and get Selina the money she owes her — fast.

Of course, Gladys could suggest that the hostage situation be staged just to afford ehr the opportunity to use Sasha’s own money to pay the ransom, but that’s not going to be good enough for Selina. She needs to get Sonny in a vulnerable position, and while $80K might be a drop in the bucket for him, she knows it will weigh on him not knowing where Sasha is or if she’s okay. If Selina can kick Sonny while he’s down by doubling down through other means — like Ava Jerome (Maura West) or the Pikeman Group — she will.
