GH Spoilers: General Hospital Turns 60 As The Nurses Ball Returns For A Spectacular Blowout

General Hospital General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal a momentous week in Port Charles as the soap turns 60 years old against the backdrop of the Nurses Ball.

General Hospital Spoilers – A 90s Relic Updated For The 21st Century

The Nurses Ball seemed to end in 2001 and was gone for a dozen years before Frank Valentini brought it back in 2013 to celebrate the soap’s 50th anniversary. Now, 10 years later it is back again after they were forced to take a COVID break.

In 2020, we still got a slimmed-down version of the ball that was done like a telethon in t-shirts and that is when Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) slashed Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (then played by Briana Lane) throat and ruined her singing voice seemingly forever. Now, it is back in all its former red carpet and formal wear glory as our favorite characters get dressed up once again to put on a show.

GH Spoilers – A Different Kind Of Nurses Ball Again

This year, there will be two people missing from most of the festivities. First, we won’t have Sonya Eddy’s Epiphany there to sing “We’re Not Alone” but we will see more memories of her as we did at her Memorial Service.

Lucy Coe also will not be the hostess with the mostess, but she sure will try. Instead, different members of the hospital staff will host different parts of the ball as Lucy is supposed to be playing dead. However, as Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) said, the one thing that would cause Lucy to be resurrected suddenly is learning Bobbie was closing it out. We are pretty sure that is a foreshadowing of what is to come.

General Hospital Spoilers – Magic Milo, The Magic Wands, And Who Else?

It’s sad that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will be too busy trying to escape Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) to be there to serenade Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) on the piano, so hopefully next year. We also get to see who Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) replacement is in the Magic Wands stripper act. Other favorites will have their own acts, so we even get to see what all the fuss is about Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Blaze. Who else will we see perform? Stay tuned to General Hospital weekdays to see how these stories play out.
