General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Anna Devane will continue to struggle with her DVX scandal surfacing. The actress who plays the superspy, Finola Hughes, recently sat down with Soap Opera Digest (SOD) to talk about her “cancel culture” storyline that hit the land of Port Charles, recently.

General Hospital Spoilers – Anna Devane Was Caught Off Guard & So Was Finola Hughes

Hughes tells SOD that she didn’t know this storyline was coming down the pipeline and was just as surprised as everyone else. As she puts it, it came “pretty quick” and “pretty cold”.

Despite her longstanding service to the WSB, when the news surfaced, the spy agency was fast to distance themselves from Anna. As Finola puts it, they basically canceled Devane. Hughes adds that it is “interesting” what the WSB did, and “kind of sad”. Hughes notes that there’s a good news/bad news scenario to all this.

GH Spoilers – Things Will Be Rough For A While

Anna will have it rough for a while, especially how things will pan out when it comes to her close circle of loved ones and how she’ll be raked over the coals in the press. The storyline will shed light on how her friends will deal with it and how she’ll try to overcome it all, as well.

It is also noted that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will work hard to support Anna during this trying time; however, Anna will completely shut off, so the lines of communication will be challenging for the new super couple.

GH fans may wonder if this is the end of Anna Devane in Port Chuckles, after all, what will she do now that she’s no longer a superspy?

The silver lining is that Hughes reassures viewers in her SOD interview that Anna isn’t going anywhere; rather, this is yet another chapter in her Port Chuckles story.
