General Hospital (GH) spoilers spill Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) might have a bit too much time on her hands.

Always one to meddle, she knows her daughter, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), is ready for the next step in her life.

Deception is going to be on shaky ground for a while. Although money isn’t everything, the company’s recent problems have highlighted a problem in Maxie’s life.

Felicia doesn’t want her daughter to be alone forever — shouldering every burden on her own. She may have pulled Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) into this mess to help Maxie pay the bills, but we suspect mama Felicia knows more than she’s letting on.

Felicia already knew she could trust Spinelli to help Maxie when she’s being too stubborn to accept help from anyone. She refused to let her parents — Felicia and Mac Scorpio (John J. York) — bail her out with their savings.

She wants them to have the money they’ve worked forever for to fall back on. Spinelli to the rescue! Feigning a flood at his apartment was the best way for Spinelli to make Maxie feel like it was he who needed her.

Inviting him to live with them was the solution she actually needed to keep the bills paid. With Spinelli acting as a tenant on-site, Maxie is going to benefit more than financially — and Felicia knows it!

When the cat’s away, the mice will play. And while Mac is in Argentina, Felicia has had nothing but her new job to keep her busy.

Her personal life consists mostly of her daughter and grandchildren at the moment, and she knows a cry for help when she sees one.

If Maxie wasn’t going to let her help out with a fat check, the least she could do was send money her way via another avenue that she wouldn’t suspect.

Furthermore, Felicia believes Spinelli and Maxie living together just might spark magic this holiday season.

Spinelli has been pining for Maxie for more than a year now. After his split with Ellie Trout (Emily Wilson), he found himself called to the Maxonista — whether she wanted him there or not.

He was in her corner, ready to protect her from Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) before she ever knew she needed such.

He stood by her even after she threatened to ice him out if he didn’t show some respect for her then-boyfriend who turned out to be a dud. Now, he’s there for her during this hardship at Deception.
