GH Spoilers: Esme’s Feelings For Spencer Are Genuine, But Her Plans To Keep Him Won’t Be

General Hospital (GH) spoilers claim Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) has been keeping her feelings for Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) under wraps for weeks, but they’re becoming harder for her to ignore.

The time alone with him since Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) left town has been good for Spencer and Esme.

They’ve learned how to let their guards down, relate to one another as young people, and dropped the competition when it comes to who cares for Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) better.

Spencer’s willingness to warm up to Esme, show respect for her as Ace’s mother, and even compliment her on such has gone a long way in bringing them closer.

There’s just one thing in the way — Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). How is Esme going to solve that problem?

It may not be all that off base for Esme to suspect that she and Spencer could reboot their romance.

She might not remember hurting him in the past, but she trusts that she did. She was also touched that Spencer was willing to open up to her and share what things used to be like between them, before he found out it was all a lie on her end.

Is Esme wondering if, perhaps, it wasn’t all for show for her — or is it possible she remembers more than she has let on?

Maybe, but she can’t very well tell Spencer that or he would know she doesn’t have amnesia. Instead, she’ll have to meet him in the middle this time on new and solid ground.

The question is: Will he be there, sharing her feelings?

GH Spoilers – Leak Trina Robinson Is In The Way

It’s been quite obvious for some time now that Esme is no fan of Trina’s, but she plasters on a smile and puts on a good show whenever she’s around.

Of course, she also makes sure she leans on Spencer a little extra any time he’s devoting his time to his girlfriend — all in the name of helping Ace, of course!

Esme might see signs that Spencer is just as into her as she is him, but getting him to admit to that or sidestep his relationship with Trina won’t be easy.

Instead, she may have to bring that relationship to a premature end first, before she can instigate anything between him and herself.

General Hospital Spoilers — Plotting With Portia Robinson?

As Esme continues to link up with Portia for Ace’s routine care, she might start to pick up on the doctor’s not-so-subtle hints about her daughter’s relationship with Spencer.

While Portia could write her suggestions off as those she would give any patient’s parents and family, it may soon dawn on Esme that Portia clearly doesn’t have her daughter’s best interests at heart — or does she?

Learning that her baby’s doctor isn’t Spencer’s number one fan might serve to make Esme even more comfortable with her.

Will she tell all about her feelings for Spencer and let Portia help her navigate the ultimate break-up plan?

Rumor has it Trina and Spencer won’t have a clue that the path to the end of their relationship was paved by the people closest to them.
