GH Spoilers: Esme Is Alive — What Does This Mean For Nik And Ava?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) may be up to her old tricks again, but it’s anyone’s guess when she will reveal what she’s really up to and how many people will be harmed in the process. Esme is a fairly good strategist, which is no surprise given that her parents are criminal masterminds, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) and Heather Webber (Alley Mills).

When Esme woke up at GH claiming she had no memory of who she was or why she was there, nor where she had been for the last six months that she was evading the police as a fugitive from justice, everyone lurking in the hospital lobby had more than enough to say about it — insisting she was scheming just like she always does. The only person who seemed genuinely unsure was Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), who told Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) that Esme might really have amnesia.

When Ava arrived at the hospital after receiving Nikolas’ call, it took only a moment for her to notice the orderly who arrived at Esme’s hospital room with a fetal heart monitor. As Ava quickly put two and two together and realized Esme was pregnant, she demanded to know if Nikolas was the father in front of everyone — including his mother, Laura Collins (Genie Francis). When Nikolas confessed that the child was his, he did so in the presence of Officer Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). That’s going to lead to more than a few questions, especially as Dante comes to realize the Christmas ornament the doctors pulled from Esme’s coat pocket matched others in the Cassadine family home. As Ava slapped him across the face and stared him down, it was her own personal way of saying this is war.

General Hospital Spoilers — Nikolas Cassadine May Be On His Way Out Of Town

Nikolas knows he’s in trouble now. The police know Esme is pregnant with his child, and that he was concealing that information from his wife, Ava. Furthermore, Ava has Nikolas’ taped confession when he admits to pushing Esme off the parapet at Wyndemere. That could come in handy now and seal his fate. We already know Marcus Coloma is on his way out at GH, and he didn’t film his final scenes. Another actor may have stepped into the role to carry them out, but it seems more likely that we could see an abrupt exit from Nikolas instead. Longtime fans are hoping for an exit until Tyler Christopher is willing to return, if ever, more so than a recast with someone like Adam Huss, who has played the role on occasion when Coloma had to be off work. Is Nikolas going to flee Port Charles and abandon his son, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), once again all to escape persecution for his crimes?
