GH Spoilers: Esme Confronts Elizabeth — Who Runs to Finn Seeking Support

General Hospital spoilers tease Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) had quite the interesting conversation this week, and Esme is going to come to terms with what it means in her own time.

That being said, she might not end up seeing things the same way that Elizabeth expected her to. She may also be resentful, but hopeful that Elizabeth will continue to help her in some way. Esme is in a rather precarious position right now. She needs Elizabeth’s help to get over the next hurdle. Will Elizabeth see a benefit in helping Esme if it means helping herself at the same time? There will be consequences either way.

General Hospital spoilers show Esme was floored when Elizabeth told her the truth about how she ended up in the hospital and where she was prior to. Learning that she took such a dangerous risk in jumping off the parapet into the icy waters below while very pregnant with baby Ace Cassadine was a hard thing for Esme to stomach. Maybe she really was the treacherous person everyone has claimed she was. However, Elizabeth did tell her she seemed to have left the old Esme in the past, and she is hopeful that Elizabeth can help her hang onto the new version.

When Esme summons Elizabeth back at the hospital, it won’t be for ice chips or patient care. Esme is interested in negotiating, though she doesn’t really have any standing to insist she deserves any kind of special treatment or favors from Elizabeth. Still, Esme couldn’t help but notice that Elizabeth seemed sincere about her intention to take care of Nikolas Cassadine’s (Adam Huss) baby, and she hopes that’ll still ring true now in his absence. Esme wants Elizabeth to play a very important role in her child’s life — acting as a primary caretaker for him. Will Elizabeth take her up on the offer?

Is Elizabeth really ready to raise another child, even if she has help from one of the best mothers around — Laura Collins (Genie Francis)? Esme wants to know that he child is in the care of people who genuinely love him, because they love his father. She wants him to be raised by people who are honest and have a moral code they operate by, versus a self-serving agenda.

Elizabeth and Laura would appear to be her only two options in the pool of possible parents. When Elizabeth runs to Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) to discuss this chance for her to pay a penance and earn her freedom from prison, will he support her in taking it?
