GH Spoilers: Esmé Charges Are Dropped – What’s The Catch?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) is not only blindsided, but skeptical after being notified that her charges have been dropped. Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) came to Spring Ridge to give her the wonderful news, but she wonders-what’s the catch?

General Hospital Spoilers – There Is A Catch But She Won’t Be Told

Of course, there is a catch but she won’t be told what it is—Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer’s strategy was to expose Esmé’s true self. There is a benefit of Esmé and Ace Prince-Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) not having to be in prison, but the charges are not actually dismissed, they’re just on hold. But Esmé isn’t thinking of that kind of a catch-she’s thinking more of the kind of a catch that she’ll have to share custody to get the deal.

Or, even worse, give up custody because Spencer had blown off his big Cassadine mouth at her previously that she would never raise her baby-just like his father. She will not give up custody of Ace to any Cassadine, and even though she’s starting to trust Laura, she doesn’t trust her son and other grandson.

GH Spoilers – Reassurance Or Placating?

Esmé in her current amnesiac form isn’t as suspicious as she would have been as her old self, but she still wonders if the reassurances were just placating her. She can see where someone who didn’t trust her, who believed she was still the person that now even she hates would tell her what she wanted to hear. Laura had reassured her that although she and Spencer would want visitation, they wouldn’t try to get sole custody or anything of the sort.

The invitation to live with her and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) is still open, and Spencer’s living with his uncle, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). The only Cassadine in the Collins home is Charlotte Cassadine (Amelie McLain) and she’s only fourteen years old and acts more her Spencer side than her Cassadine side.

General Hospital Spoilers – Cautiously Optimistic, She Has Nowhere To Go

Esmé is cautiously optimistic-after all she has nowhere to go when she’s released. Laura notes that when she gets to know her uncle Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) better, she’ll see the only thing like Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) is his looks. Spencer would like to be allowed to visit and get to know his baby brother and Laura is firm with him that he cannot have custody although he can have relationship.

That’s if Esmé agrees he can, and it will all be written down in contract they both would have to sign. This has given Esmé much to consider, but she still senses Spencer’s got something up his sleeve.
