Now that Elizabeth sees Nikolas for who he really is, she wants nothing to do with his scheme and feels filthy for having been a part of any of it. But is telling the truth and risking the chance to raise her boys really the best solution?
Elizabeth certainly isn’t looking forward to being arrested, and she doesn’t necessarily want to pay for the crimes she has committed. But she isn’t feeling so hot about herself these days, and she knows that will only get worse once her son knows she was protecting the woman who ruined his relationship with Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy).
Elizabeth doesn’t really want to turn herself in, but she sees no other way to stop looking over her shoulder and waiting for Esme to point her finger at her.
When Elizabeth told Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) the truth, it was only because she wanted him to hear it from her first. Her next stop was the police station where she intended to come clean about everything, but Finn abruptly stopped her. Promising to sleep on it, Elizabeth is said she wouldn’t rush to the PCPD right away, and that gave Finn time to track down his close friend and former attorney, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
When she gives him some hypothetical legal advice, Finn will realize he won’t be able to save Elizabeth by any legal means. So he just might use his relationship with Alexis to manipulate the situation as best he can and lead her to discovering where Esme was all those months and who was helping her — Nikolas. Will Alexis take this theory to the paper — or to her daughter’s boyfriend, Detective Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna)?
Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) has just knocked Nikolas unconscious and may be looking to dispose of his body soon. When he turns up missing in action, some may assume he left town, certain that his son, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) was either going to take everything from him or air his dirty laundry and turn him into the police. In the interim, the police investigation that took Dante to London will bring him face to face with some familiar hand-painted ornaments that match the one Esme washed up with on her person.
When Dante connects the ornaments to Nikolas, and Alexis confirms her investigation matches the same, Finn will convince Elizabeth to let him take the fall in his absence. Likewise, Esme will also soon turn up missing as she, Heather Webber (Alley Mills), and Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) break out of Spring Ridge.
