GH Spoilers: Drew Makes A Pitch To Ned-Is He Leading Carly Into A Trap?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will make a pitch to Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) to get Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) ELQ shares. He talked to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) about going public with their relationship as well, but could he be leading himself and her into a trap?

General Hospital Spoilers – No Longer Worried About Insider Trading

Carly brought up objections at first, still worried about their being turned in by Ned for insider training, considering he’d threatened to do so before.

General Hospital spoilers show Drew told her that had been a long time ago and things had changed-Ned was afraid of being beaten by Valentin and he thinks Valentin’s dead. Ned had thrown in with Valentin and he with Ned, both being afraid of losing their jobs if the Aurora-ELQ merger had gone through.

They argued about it a little bit, him saying that letting Ned keep full control of ELQ while pitching a merger again was a good strategy. Carly certainly won’t be buying a bunch of Aurora stocks to sweeten the pot this time, she lost her part of her hotel the last time.

GH Spoilers – Taking A Risk

Drew knows he could be taking a risk making this proposal to Ned right now, although it’s been many months since the failed merger now. Ned doesn’t know how long he and Carly have been dating, or even that they’re dating now – Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) hasn’t said anything to him about it.

He hasn’t even brought it up to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) yet, but he still thinks an ELQ-Aurora Media merger would be a great idea and they’d be stronger combined.

Drew thinks that keeping Ned’s focus on his power position with ELQ will help a lot – one reason the merger failed is that he didn’t want a figurehead position. But if Drew can get Valentin’s ELQ stocks from Laura Collins (Genie Francis) who handles them for Charlotte Cassadine (Amelie McLain) it would give Drew more power.

General Hospital Spoilers – You Never Know Who Might Be Listening

One thing that Drew doesn’t know is that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Olivia had been talking about Drew and Carly’s relationship in the Metro Court. It came up when he wanted her to report back to him and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) about Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) health progress.

Nina had come around a corner and heard Olivia tell Sonny that they’d kept their relationship secret because Ned had threatened to turn them into the SEC.

Nina has an agenda against Carly as Carly has one against her-Drew doesn’t realize when he pitches to Ned that a potential whistleblower overheard Sonny and Olivia.

Could Drew’s pitch to Ned be leading him and Carly into a trap because Nina blows the whistle on him and Carly-it would seem that it could, with a little help!
