She didn’t waste time pulling herself out of it. It seems appealing to Holly as she sat in front of Diane and told her she and Robert were essentially meant for one another, but Diane didn’t buy it. As usual, the A-list attorney was a success at making her opposition feel unsettled and uncertain.

Still, Diane is a far cry from a spy who loved Robert. She doesn’t have the same history. She doesn’t know the inside jokes. She isn’t Felicia Scorpio’s (Kristina Wagner) beloved best friend. There are so many angles working against her; will she be able to blend in with this law-bending crew?

As she mulled over her options, Diane will remain steadfast in the belief that no man is worth compromising her values or hurting another woman over. However, she also won’t be able to help feeling the allure of victory, of coming out on top in the battle for Robert’s affections.

Does that make her a hypocrite? Perhaps, but who’s counting? With Holly out of town, she should be out of sight and out of mind for Robert, right? Diane can handle a man having a past.
