Diane has been making moves in Robert’s direction for months, but he rarely picks up what she’s putting down. Has it been so long for Robert that he’s forgotten what flirting looks and feels like? Diane grew tired of throwing spaghetti at the wall and hoping something would stick with Robert. So she bailed out, and they’ve both been working their lives away without much happening in the personal life department. Rumor has it that this is about to change though.
Diane has already tried showing her interest in Robert and putting her cards on the table. It got her nowhere. This time around, when he shows the slightest interest, she’s going to play a little bit harder to get. Diane normally isn’t in the mood for games, but she’s also not interested in wasting any more of her precious time if Robert isn’t willing to put any real effort into wooing her. If he wants her to come back around now, he’ll have to make it known.
Truth be told, Robert likes the chase. It’s not that he’s so in love with it that it’s all he’s seeking, but he likes pursuing. He is a detective and former WSB agent, after all. He doesn’t always want all of the cards on the table, no matter how much it appears he wishes every suspect would offer them all up at the start of an interrogation. But this isn’t work, and Robert would do well to remember that. Will his pursuit of Diane lead to something special for the two of them? We can only hope!
