GH Spoilers: Dex Isn’t Who Everyone Thinks He Is — How Will This Impact Joss?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) is an imposter, and the whole city of Port Charles will be stunned when the truth comes out about who he really is. Dex came to town on a mission. He would be well-compensated by Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to work his way into Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) organization and tear it to the ground, leaving Sonny behind bars for the rest of his life.

At the time, he was capitalizing on Michael’s hatred for his father, which has since diminished to a degree. But he never revealed why he was on board with this project, and when everything blows back on Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy), Michael will be kicking himself for not reviewing Dex’s background further before cutting him a check.

General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Corinthos Is Dex Heller’s Father

Some GH fans will remember that despite the push and pull effect of Sonny and Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) on-again-off-again love affair over the years, Carly was not Sonny’s first wife. Lily Corinthos (Lilly Melgar) was, and she died in 1996 when a car bomb intended for Sonny took her life — or so we thought.

All of these years, Sonny moved on with his life thinking Lily paid with her life for him to have the criminal enterprise that he does. Little does he know, the car bomb her father planted to take him out was staged so he could kidnap his daughter and brainwash her against Sonny. Just days before Lily’s alleged death, she told Sonny she was pregnant. That child was later born, unbeknownst to Sonny, and he calls himself Dex.

Michael didn’t look into Dex’s background very far past the military records and his discharge. He was concerned with whether or not he could be discreet and get the job done — not whether he had his own reasons for wanting to help dismantle Sonny.

When the truth comes out and Sonny learns he has yet another son he never knew about — who was working with his other son to ruin him, it’s going to bring the whole family to their knees. But nothing will prepare them to find out Joss is pregnant with Dex’s baby.

When Michael put the wheels in motion to take Sonny down, he had no idea the guy he was bringing on board to take him down was his son. He won’t be able to stop blaming himself for overlooking the details he should have looked into — particularly when Joss delivers news of her pregnancy. He knows Sonny is going to retaliate, and that will likely mean the end of Dex.

But what will that mean for Joss and her child? Michael knows what it’s like to grow up with a mobster for a dad, but he also knows what it’s like to grow up with his father dead and gone.
