GH Spoilers: Dex Heller Sets Roots, Evan Hofer Confirms Contract

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) will continue to ride out the drama in Port Charles, as his portrayer confirms inking a long-term contract with the soap opera. Looks like Heller came to the little town by Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to bring Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) down, but now he’s here for the long haul.

General Hospital Spoilers – Dex Heller Was Initially Brought In For A Short-Term Stint

General Hospital spoilers say Hofer recently revealed that the Dex character was meant to be brought in for a short-term role. However, as he was preparing for his first scenes with Brick (Stephen A. Smith), GH’s Executive Producer Frank Valentini pulled him aside and told him that he’s shown great layers and great stuff that they never imagined.

Evan goes on to say that Valentini asked the actor how he felt about “sticking around” a little more permanently. Evan notes he was a bit speechless and first, but was able to finally say, “yes” and Frank reached out to his agent. The rest is history!

While the henchman was originally brought in to nail Sonny, Heller has bonded with the mob boss. To make matters worse, he also has a working relationship with Michael, and things are more complicated now that he’s romantically linked to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).

With that said, what if Heller has an even bigger connection to the little town? There has been wild speculation that Dex could be the long-lost son of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). With Heller caught between a rock (Michael) and a hard place (Sonny), perhaps the only thing that could help save him from his current situation is being Jason’s son. There’s no way Sonny or Michael could do any harm to a child that is Jason’s.
