GH Spoilers: Dante Worries His Dad Is In Over His Head And Blinded By Dex’s Loyalty

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is growing quite concerned that his father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), has no idea what he’s gotten himself into by letting Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) into his inner circle. When Dex came into Sonny’s orbit months ago, Dante didn’t concern himself with the matter. He and Sonny have kept some distance from one another for years, but both of them seem like they would like to have a closer relationship.

However, they don’t know how to when there is such a massive elephant in the room as Sonny’s organized crime empire. Dante can’t turn his cheek to what his father does for a living, and Sonny can’t reveal such parts of his life to his son while he’s committed to being a cop. However, when Dante starts to think Dex may be more of an enemy than a new Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to his father, he just might compromise his own morals to save his old man.

Even when inviting a new henchman into the mix, Sonny doesn’t just give his trust away blindly. He makes his new associates earn his respect, and Dex has done that more recently by putting himself in front of a speeding bullet meant for Sonny. That kind of quick-on-his-feet thinking is just what Sonny finds valuable in someone and he sees real potential for a future with Dex in his business. Anyone who calls Dex out any less than sincere now might ruffle the mob master’s feathers.

GH Spoilers – Hint Can Dante Save His Father?

Dante might have a shot at getting through to his father, but that doesn’t mean the madness ends there. Never would it be so simple as Sonny taking Dante on his word and merely axing Dex from his organization. Sonny can’t have someone betray him and not let them know he’s not only outsmarted them but isn’t going to let them just move on with their lives.

That’s not how mob business works. Dante could protect his father by letting him know Dex is a traitor, but he won’t necessarily be able to stop Sonny from retaliating against Dex and seeing to it that he pays for crossing him. That could get sloppy since Dex is just the middleman, and the real guy on the hook for this is Dante’s brother, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).

Regardless, Dex is going to pay for going against Sonny, who won’t think there’s anything worse than having been against him from the very start. He’s not going to be inclined to believe Dex’s version of events — nor that he’s grown to respect Sonny and wants to be a part of his organization. Even if Dex rolls over on Michael, Sonny isn’t going to find him any more trustworthy and will only think he’s trying to save his own skin. What happens if Dex dies because of Michael’s vendetta?
