GH Spoilers: Cyrus Reaches Out To Drew In Pentonville, Will Not Let Harm Come To His Niece In Law’s Boyfriend

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and rumors tease Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will reach out to Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Like when he protected Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) he will be protective of Drew-not letting harm come to his niece-in-law’s boyfriend.

General Hospital Spoilers – Cyrus Renault Considers Carly Spencer Family

Oddly enough, Cyrus considers Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) family, even though Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) were divorced for years.

Laura doesn’t interact with the Spencer relatives a lot, although she acknowledges them as Luke’s family, and so Cyrus does too; when Cyrus sees Drew is there he reaches out. Drew barely knows who Cyrus is, having been held captive by Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) most of Cyrus’ time in Port Charles.

Cyrus obviously doesn’t know a whole lot about Drew, such an older man wanting to protect a Navy Seal! Still, a prison with other inmates is a lot different than Drew’s experiences in Victor’s dungeons and he accepts Cyrus’ kindness.

GH Spoilers – A Friend Behind Bars Is Always Good

Drew doesn’t know a lot about Pentonville or that kind of prison, but he knows that a friend behind bars is always good-especially if he’s earned the respect of other inmates. Cyrus seems to be that kind of inmate, the other guys respect him and they know not to mess with guys Cyrus is protecting.

Drew does know that he’s Martin Grey’s (Michael E. Knight) brother and Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) half-brother and caused quite a bit of trouble in Port Charles. But it’s good to have Cyrus to show him the ropes and such, since there are no federal prisons with room, this will have to do.

Prison is a place that Drew never thought he would ever be in, and it seems a shame for a Navy Seal to be in a place like that, Cyrus thinks.

General Hospital Spoilers – Help To Pass The Time

Drew explains that he decided to turn himself into the Feds for insider trading to protect Carly and her family, and Cyrus admires his sacrifice. They actually become friends, because unlike Laura, Drew doesn’t believe that Cyrus’ spiritual awakening is a scam.

Being from a military background-even though his memories are muddled-he’s quite familiar with the term, “there are no atheists in foxholes” and Cyrus doesn’t display ulterior motives.

Drew is glad to know him and they talk a lot about how Cyrus grew up and the things that once drove him. Drew talks about things like losing his son, and a couple years later his twin who he regrets not being able to save; an unusual but real friendship develops.
