GH Spoilers: Curtis Lives But Is Paralyzed

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was shot in the back, but he will survive. He may make it through surgery, but will no longer be able to walk. It looks like Curtis was not the intended target at the Metro Court pool shooting. The shooter was most likely after Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) or Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), but the reason is unknown.

Now Curtis’ family is gathered at General Hospital and anxiously awaiting news of his surgery.

General Hospital Spoilers: Portia Robinson Gave Permission To Operate On Her Husband

Those who gave medical assistance to Curtis when he was shot all noticed how close the bullet was to his spine. Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Nurse Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) were sure to be careful while treating him, as were the paramedics who arrived on the scene.

Once they made it to GH, Curtis’ wife Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) needed to give permission for the risky surgery because of where the bullet was lodged.

Portia told her daughter, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), that she allowed the doctors to operate because her husband is a fighter and it was what he would want. She knows he would do anything to stay with his family. But this surgery is a risk, and he could suffer paralysis as a result.

What Happens When Curtis Wakes Up On General Hospital?

All Portia wants is for her husband to survive. The couple was not in the best place at the time of the shooting. On the night of their wedding, Curtis found out that his new wife had been lying to him for years, and that Trina may be his daughter. It turns out she is, according to a blood test (although those are often faked on GH).

Then Curtis turned around and kissed his ex, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper). When Portia found out, she was furious. This marriage did not start off on the right foot.

If Curtis wakes up, Portia will realize how none of their past transgressions matter and she will want to begin their marriage. It won’t matter to her if Cutis is paralyzed, as long as they are together.

The problem is, it will matter to Curtis. He is a strong, independent man who will have a hard time dealing if he cannot walk. This can take a toll on an already shaky relationship.

What About Trina Robinson?

With Curtis shot, Trina is beginning to realize how much time she has already lost with her bio dad. She is also praying for him to survive so that they can begin a father-daughter relationship. This is what Curtis has been hoping for. But he will not want to be a burden to his daughter if he cannot walk.

Trina also has another dad who she loves. Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) always believed he was her father. He raised her and adores but he was beginning to spiral when he learned the truth.

Now that Trina is accepting Curtis as her dad, how will this affect her relationship with Taggert? Plus, were the test results tampered with? Is it possible that Taggert has been Trina’s biological father all along?
