GH Spoilers: Cody Struggles, Will He Ever Tell Mac The Truth?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) will struggle with his conscience after Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) tries to get him to sign an affidavit. The affidavit no doubt will have something to do with verifying Leopold Taub (Chip Lucia) was his father, when he knows that his father is really Mac Scorpio (John J. York).

General Hospital Spoilers – Nervous About Being Investigated

According to General Hospital spoilers, Cody undoubtedly is nervous about being investigated, afraid not only that the WSB could find out about things in his past, but maybe things in his present as well. Cody lied so he could get his hands on the expensive Ice Princess diamond necklace that his mother, Dominique Stanton (Shell Danielson) once wore. But that necklace, which eventually found its way back into Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) hands was destroyed by a WSB drone strike, as was Victor himself.

That’s why Scott struck on the idea of suing the WSB for the value of the necklace, with Cody agreeing to split any proceeds with his half-sister Serena Baldwin (Carly Schroeder). But now that Cody knows the WSB will likely investigate him, he struggles with his conscience over the lie.

GH Spoilers – Mac Scorpio Has Been Befriending Him

Slowly but surely, a little at a time, Mac has been befriending Cody, and that only makes him feel worse about lying about the paternity test he and Mac took. And the reason he lied was purely based on greed, willing to do anything to get his hands on that necklace or the proceeds from the lawsuit. Mac seems to be such a good man, one of the best, and although Cody doesn’t remember Dominque, he hears she was one of the best also.

How could such a grifter and a loser like Cody come from them; he just doesn’t get it, he’s more like Taub even though he wasn’t raised by him! Cody’s been doing some good and unselfish things lately, like trying to take down Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) for using Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) but yet he’s still lying about Mac.

General Hospital Spoilers – How Would He Backtrack And Explain?

Cody still has the paternity test and he’s sure that there’s a copy on file at GH; but how would he backtrack and explain why he lied? The wording is crystal clear, no one would think he’s so stupid he couldn’t read it-it wasn’t technical or full of medical jargon. It was very clear, and the fact that he’s a gambler even takes more of his excuse-how could he misunderstand that it was a 99 percent chance Mac is his father?

Cody knows he’s going to struggle with his conscience the nicer Mac is to him and even though he tries to avoid him, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is his friend. Dante is frequently with Mac when Cody has come around to talk to him, as he’s not just his boss, Mac’s his friend-will he ever get the nerve to come clean?
