The user hawkgirl was the first to ask these two important questions on the SoapCentral.com Message Boards: “Do you think Austin will live or die? Will Austin perish and RH become yet another character? And who pulled the trigger? Cyrus? Ava? Nikolas perhaps?”

The fans took to the thread to share their thoughts. At the time of this writing, there are five pages of speculation.

It shows that the fans want to know the answers to these questions, and they hope to get some resolution to Austin’s storyline soon. There are also many theories as to whether Austin will survive and who would want to shoot him.

One fan wrote: “I feel like he actually might die. And I’m betting it’s Nikolas. Trying to regain Ava’s love?”

Another user argued: “No, I think it’s Cyrus as he showed up at the Mayor’s office, Laura’s office when it was happening so he can have an alibi. He hired someone to kill Austin.”

GH Spoilers – Did Cyrus Renault Kill Austin Gatlin-Holt?

According to the General Hospital, there are clues that suggest Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was the person on the other end of the gun. Cyrus claimed that he’s a changed man since leaving prison.

However, fans think he would get back to his old tricks in no time. Cyrus didn’t waste any time if he was the one who shot Austin.

“Unless someone found him, otherwise he’s dead. I think Cyrus sent someone to kill him, he probably has someone in the station working for him and reported to him that Austin was there to see Dante,” one fan wrote.

The General Hospital spoilers haven’t suggested that Roger Howarth is leaving the show. Most fans have a feeling that it’s Cyrus and that Austin will end up surviving. Just because he got shot doesn’t mean they’re killing him off. Anything is possible on this soap.
