GH Spoilers: Carolyn Agrees To Help Nik And Liz — But She Didn’t Know Heather Webber Would Be There

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Carolyn Webber (Denise Crosby) will ultimately give in to Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) request. He asked Carolyn to come to Port Charles and made it sound rather urgent, signaling that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) was in trouble.

That’s not untrue, however, Nikolas doesn’t feel obliged to reveal to Carolyn why she needs to help or how it is that her beloved Lizzie is in trouble. When Carolyn sits back down with Elizabeth, she might come to feel the situation out for herself, and while Elizabeth isn’t likely to reveal anything she’s done to Carolyn either, she may appear anxious enough that Carolyn comes to understand Nik wasn’t lying.

When Carolyn heads back to Spoon Island with a different impression of what Nikolas was asking her to do, she still won’t feel great about the task at hand. Carolyn hasn’t meddled with someone’s brain that way in years, and she really has painfully learned her lesson from that decision. It has cost her 25 years of a relationship she could have had with her daughter. She hasn’t known her grandsons because of that decision. Further, she still may never know any of them if Elizabeth can’t find it in her heart to forgive her mother. So to say choosing to do it to someone else — Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) — is not a decision she will make easily on a whim is an understatement.

Carolyn hops on board with Nikolas’ plan, but it’s going to be difficult to suppress memories when she doesn’t know what it is she’s suppressing. How can she manipulate Esme into forgetting everything that happened to her when she doesn’t know what happened to her? This question will seem like common sense to Carolyn, but Nik may not be willing to give Carolyn that kind of leverage over himself or Elizabeth. Carolyn could draw her own conclusions, but it’s safe to say she will think this has more to do with Esme being pregnant with his child than anything else. That will leave her wondering how Elizabeth could possibly be involved, though she will trust that she is.

Carolyn is on board with working on Esme at Spring Ridge — however Nik manages to get her in there. That being said, no one warned Carolyn about just who was being housed at Spring Ridge these days. Sure, she’s heard of the place, because that’s where the infamous Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) lurks from his wheelchair these days.

Could it be Carolyn who manages to figure out that he’s faking his locked-in status? Maybe not, because she’s going to be bus brainwashing Esme and thwarting Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) attempts to glean information from Esme’s conversations with Carolyn. Will she warn her blind-as-a-bat daughter to steer clear of Carolyn? What lurks in the Webber women’s pasts that might bubble up to the surface during their engagement?
