GH Spoilers: Cam Is Coming Home For The Summer & His Mother Won’t Recognize Him

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest Cameron ‘Cam’ Webber (William Lipton) will be back in Port Charles soon as Stanford breaks for the summer. All that soccer playing might’ve helped Cam work through some of his heartache since he left home, but absence did not make his heart grow fonder of Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) the way one would have hoped. Rumor has it when Cam comes home, there will be something different about him that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and others just can’t seem to put their finger on.

Slightly morose and often trying too hard to feign excitement to be back, Cam’s act won’t be very convincing. Did his time away only allow for his wounds to fester? Scrolling Joss’ social media accounts that are plastered with pictures of Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) probably didn’t help much. Now, Cam is coming home and he wants to make sure Joss knows the kind of pain he has endured — all because of her.

Joss knew she wasn’t feeling it with Cam anymore — not what she was feeling with a Dex anyway. But she kept holding on out of fear. She didn’t want to tell Cam the truth, that she had fallen for someone else. So she told him nothing and kept him in the dark.

Could the perfect retaliation tactic be Cam doing the same to her? Will the new and removed Cam worry Joss to the point that she becomes consumed with figuring out what is going on with her ex, and by default, lets her current beau hang loose — waiting to be plucked by someone else?

When Cam left for Stanford, everything seemed to be as good as it was going to get. Joss and Cam were slowly finding their new groove as friends who were best friends before they were lovers before they were nothing. Cam was sad, and he couldn’t meet Joss exactly where she was, but he hoped to someday.

That day has arrived, but Joss is going to notice something rather artificial about Cam’s alleged acceptance of Dex, and his over the top means of embracing her new relationship. Why is he going to put on such a show? Everyone will be able to tell.

Cam knows the best way to decimate Joss is to strike her where it hurts. Now, that’s Dex. And what better way to tank her relationship than to make sure her arch enemy, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), is involved?

Perhaps Cam has kept in touch with Esme since the night of his going away party. Maybe they’ve mustered up a long-distance romance and she sees him as her ticket out of town when he’s done school.

What wouldn’t she do for him to secure a future for herself and her son away from the Cassadine family? Will we find that Esme is up to her old tricks when she manipulates Dex and falls into bed with him? Worse, will it all be Cam’s doing as he pulls her strings to strike back at Joss’ heart?
