General Hospital Spoilers – Anna Devane Thought Her Secrets Were Safe

Since Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) first arrived on the Port Charles scene back in the 1980s, fans have always known that she briefly led a life as a double agent, working for the WSB and DVX at the same time.

Both Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) knew about her double life, but they never talked about it and Anna thought the past was buried — until it wasn’t.

Even the WSB had known what Anna had done all in the name of bringing down Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), but they swept it under the rug. Now, thanks to Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), the information has gone public and they have to save face so they arrested her for treason.

She was able to get herself out of that one, but she might find herself without a job and it’s all too much for Anna.

G&H Spoilers – What Will Anna Devane Do Now?

“For Anna, it’s a gut punch,” Finola Hughes said in the June 19, 2023, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “It comes out of left field when she suddenly gets arrested. It was pretty quick and pretty cold. I think it’s kind of interesting and sad, this twist.”

Anna also didn’t think she deserved what happened considering what she just did in Greenland right after recovering from a serious gunshot wound.

“She has just succeeded in bringing someone down that was going to be extremely damaging to the world, and now, she is being used as a way for the WSB to have a clean slate.

They’re using Anna as a way to say it never happened and we’re going to lay all of the responsibility for that conduct on Anna Devane. We’re going to distance ourselves from her and basically cancel her.”

So, what happens to Anna? She will have to explain herself to her grandchildren but also has to find a new focus in her life, so the possibilities can be endless.
