GH Spoilers: Anna Is Blindsided, Valentin Knew Charlotte Was Targeting Her?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is blindsided when she finds out Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) knew Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) was targeting her!

Valentin knows now he made huge mistakes handling Charlotte’s behavior and issues, but he can’t go back and change it, although he deeply grieves and regrets it.

General Hospital Spoilers: There Was Proof, He Had Nina Corinthos Delete It

While Valentin didn’t have proof that it was Charlotte who committed arson and set Anna’s townhouse on fire, he did have proof she entered Anna’s Metro Court suite and vandalized it.

He looked at the security tapes from that night with Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) and then had her delete them-it clearly showed Charlotte enter and exit the door.

All of Anna’s new clothing she’d had to replace was sprayed with red ink, and a message in red on the mirror said Anna thought she was safe, but she wasn’t.

Anna is heartbroken over what happened, she’d just come from Robert Scorpio’s (Tristan Rogers) office after finding an old file-she theorized her enemy was an Agent Forsyth (uncast).

The apartment was dark, Charlotte dressed in black, and she mistook an inoperative flashlight for a gun-her training kicked in.

GH Spoilers: Valentin Cassadine Couldn’t Handle Anna Devane’s Attempted Apology

Valentin couldn’t handle Anna’s attempted apology and request for forgiveness at GH, after Charlotte was taken back for surgery; he just couldn’t do it then. He couldn’t get his head around the idea that his lover had shot his daughter-he couldn’t listen to Anna try to explain.

He wonders if he should have brought her in the loop about what he and Nina found out, but even then he had no answers as to why.

It was only after talking it over with Laura Collins (Genie Francis) that they both realized Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) had weaponized Charlotte against Anna.

It was taking place when Charlotte was in that boarding school in France where Valentin, Laura and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) had rescued her from.

General Hospital Spoilers: Finally, He Gets The Nerve To Explain

It took Valentin a while to get the nerve to explain to Anna, starting to call her when in the waiting room of the hospital when Charlotte was in surgery.

When Nina arrived, it turned out Anna was talking to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) about what had happened and came immediately; later, he intersects with Anna on the hospital stairs.

Valentin finally admits he had reason to believe Victor had weaponized Charlotte against Anna last summer, having regretted his keeping silent.

But this time it’s Anna who can’t process what she’s hearing Valentin trying to explain and ask forgiveness!

Anna reacts in anger, nearly knocking him off his feet with her slap-if he’d only told her, this wouldn’t have happened; as if he didn’t know.
