General Hospital (GH) spoilers show that the ABC soap was a big winner at last Friday’s Daytime Emmys award ceremony, including Alley Mills’ (Heather Webber) win for Outstanding Guest Performer. Mills’ portrayal of the unhinged character has proven extremely popular, and her Emmy win underscores the fact that the fans want to see more of Heather.

Did Mills drop a hint of things to come? It could be that Heather is about to get more screen time, and perhaps be shown as a more compassionate figure?

Heather’s daughter Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) and grandson Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) remain in Port Charles, New York, and they could use some support right now.

Esme has left the comfort and security of Laura Webber’s (Genie Francis) home to strike out on her own and she will have challenges being a single mom and full-time employee.

Heather is currently locked up at Pentonville but that doesn’t mean she can’t be helpful to Esme. Esme may find herself drawn to her biological mom now that she is on her own.

Lord knows that Heather is not a role model, but the show might be angling to give her some sort of redemption story. If that’s the case, there is no better way for her to shine than to come through for Esme and Ace.
