GH Spoilers: Alexis Won’t Make It Through Another Loved One Lost

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is about to discover what Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) has been hiding, and she might be left wishing she never had. Alexis will be alarmed that Gregory didn’t think he could share the truth with Alexis, but he she might assume that he just wasn’t ready to face the music himself, much less help someone else process the news that he is dying.

Terminal illness is the last thing Alexis expected to find when she went digging around into Gregory’s life. Will they be able to see eye to eye with Gregory feeling like she has invaded his privacy and her feeling like it’s important for him to let her help see him through the end of his life?

Alexis can’t stand to be the last to know anything. In fact, she can’t stand not to be the first to know everything. This might be a fantastic trait to hone as the Editor-in-Chief of a news outlet, but it’s not the best trait in a friend who won’t mind their business.

Gregory’s last interaction with Alexis left her baffled as she accused him of being drunk at 11 o’clock in the morning and he told her he never wanted to see her again. When she keeps digging, despite his insistence that he’s done with her, she’s going to find out the real truth Gregory has been harboring is that he doesn’t have much time left to live.

Suddenly, Gregory’s decision to leave PCU, turn down Alexis’ job offer at The Invader, and his stumbling behavior at the Metro Court will all make sense. He’s seriously ill, and there’s nothing anyone can do. Alexis being in the know about it won’t save him, so Gregory didn’t see the reason to worry her.

He also doesn’t see the need to worry his sons, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), when there is nothing they can do to help. Alexis won’t see it that way.

When Alexis pushes Gregory to tell his sons the truth, he’s going to become even more hostile. He may have to remind her that this is his life — whatever is left of it — and he gets to make decisions about it the way he sees fit, on his timeline.

Alexis could learn to respect that, but she’s going to remain hopeful — and pushy — that he will at least lean on her during this time and use their friendship as an outlet for his own feelings. Is she really capable of taking all of that on given how the last relationship she had with a man panned out?
