GH Spoilers: A Heartbroken Carly Finds Comfort In Sonny’s Arms, And Nina Wonders What She Has Done

General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will struggle to digest the news that she’ll have to pay a $5 million fine for her insider trading conspiracy with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). So not only is she losing her companion for the next three years, but she’s going to lose every cent she ever worked for as well. In one fell swoop, her entire savings account will be out the window. At least she won’t have the SEC breathing down her neck anymore, right? That’s not going to feel very comforting when she breaks down to her ex-husband, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), about the hard road she faces ahead.

Carly has been biding her time and enjoying life, not really figuring out how to go back into the workforce since she lost the Metro Court. It looks like she’ll need a job now more than ever. Will she end up serving Sonny and Nina coffee at Kelly’s? Rumor has it the don will have a better job in store for her.

General Hospital Spoilers — Carly Spencer Loses Drew Cain

In just a matter of days, Drew is headed to prison for the next three years. Carly is riddled with guilt that Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) is going to lose out on her relationship with her father because of her sins.

Carly committed this crime and she feels that she should’ve taken the fall for it. But of course, she’s not coming clean to the police now, is she? Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will see little sympathy for Carly, recognizing this is a mess she brought on herself. But she’s well aware that Sonny doesn’t see Carly through the same lens, and she’ll be careful not to overstep and speak on it.

GH Spoilers – Claim Financial Woes Turn In Her Direction

Carly knows that any time she’s in trouble, she can turn to her ex-husband. He’s always going to be there for her — whether Dona Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) is in the mix or not.

As usual, Sony will hide behind that excuse every time, citing that his compassion for Carly extends only because she is the mother of his baby girl.

Nina is really growing tired of hearing the same tired lies when she can tell there is more between them than parenting and memories. As financial hardship targets Carly, and Sonny bails her out, Nina may blame Carly but she’s also going to blame herself.

General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Corinthos Seems To Have A Type

The last thing Nina is expecting is that Sonny is going to give up even more of the life they’re sharing together to help Carly. If only Sonny knew how much trouble Nina was in, maybe she would be able to find out whether he has the same compassion for her.

Are damsels in distress his thing, or does he just like to know the women in his life will need him forever? It’s not hard to see why Sonny would look past Carly’s misdeeds as though she shouldn’t be held accountable for her own behavior, but Nina can’t stand it that she knows he wouldn’t see her sins the same way.

Drew is out of the picture and Carly needs Sonny more than ever. Every time he indulges her, Nina will be left wondering how her perfect plan went so far off course. She’d love to call Carly out, letting her know she only has herself to blame, but that sure would be the pot calling the kettle black.
