GH Spoilers: With Sonny Behind Bars, A New War Ignites With Cyrus; Whose Side Will Drew Be On?

General Hospital spoilers report Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) knows when to lay down his arms and walk away from a fight. He was in no position to turn away Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) help. Having that level of protection gave him some meager reassurance that he might not have to watch his back quite as much as he was worried he would for the next three years. But hearing from Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) that Sonny’s magical protective powers had evaporated overnight was just the beginning of what is headed for Drew.

Some fans are theorizing that the harsh sentence Judge Kim (Kurt Yue) imposed on Drew may have even been Cyrus’ doing. Was this all a scheme to get Drew in his orbit where he could turn him against Sonny, and if so, how will he have any power to wield? Fingers crossed there are no tarot cards involved.

Drew went to hell and back trying to recover from the things he did when he was previously under Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) spell.

Being brainwashed isn’t for the faint at heart, but no one would dare describe Drew that way.

Perhaps that’s why Cyrus knew he would be the perfect person to target and bring over to the dark side with him. But the tables could turn for Drew with Sonny coming into play behind bars with them.

Cyrus has had an advantage being on the inside for so long. Time has allowed him to carefully pick his allies and form a small army that won’t be kind to Sonny.

Will Drew be a part of it? It appears that while he’s been locked up for a couple of years now, he still had people working for him on the outside to bring Sonny down.

Who would have thought that the man who stumbled upon Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) in a forest giving birth would have wound up being connected to Cyrus in his youth?

It seems that Cyrus has connections we never knew about, and more of them might continue to emerge as this plays out.

General Hospital Spoilers — A New War Is Brewing

Sonny will soon be inside Pentonville with Drew, and while that may make visitation hours more complicated for Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), that won’t be the only thing that gets messy for Sonny’s ex-wife.

Her loyalty to Sonny has stood the test of time and Drew wouldn’t paint himself in a very positive light if he began to contest that only now.

Carly may be busy on the outside of those walls, defending Sonny’s empire because she’s the only person who can.

Meanwhile, Drew could grow resentful that she feels obligated to do so, and he might take his frustration out on Sonny for letting her.
