General Hospital Spoilers: Will The Cassadines Change With Valentin As Head Of The Family?

General Hospital: Valentin CassadineGeneral Hospital spoilers reveals, Ding dong Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) is dead! Finally, the good citizens of Port Charles thwarted Victor’s plan to kill off 80% of humanity to “save the earth”. The evil Cassadine has been presumed dead before, but this time they showed the body (although that doesn’t always mean much on a soap).

Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was saved by the antidote, and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) survived the explosion of the Haunted Star. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) should make it just in time to save Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) life.

With Victor dead and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) missing, Valentin is now the head of the Cassadine family.

General Hospital Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine Went From Bad To Good On General Hospital

Valentin was introduced on General Hospital as the most evil of the Cassadines, and he definitely showed it. He held hostages, attempted to kill Ava Jerome (Maura West), and killed Nikolas, who wasn’t really dead but that’s another story. He also shot Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom). His crimes continued from there.

Little by little, we saw a softer side of Valentin. He loves his daughter Charlotte Cassadine (AnaSofia Bianchi). He fell in love with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), who was able to see the good in him.

But his relationship with super-spy Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) completely changed him for the better. He fell in love with Anna and put himself in danger numerous times to save her.

Despite his past, Valentin has become one of the good guys, which was apparent when he went against his father to help save the world. Even Laura Collins (Genie Francis) seems to have changed her opinion of him.

GH Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine As Head Of The Cassadine Family

After much confusion about who his parents were, it is now known that Valentin is the son of Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) and Mikkos Cassadine (John Colicos). You can’t get much more evil than that.

Victor was constantly shouting that he was “the head of the Cassadine family” but he is no more. It looks like Valentin will step into that role.

The Cassadines are traditionally a dastardly bunch, but they are all dead. The old Valentin would have continued their scheming and plotting to take down the world around them, but not this new Valentin.

“Goodbye Father,” he said to Victor’s remains. He also commented that the Cassadine name is no longer Victor’s, but now belongs to him.

Then there is Spencer, who also seems to have changed for the better thanks to his love interest, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).

Does this mean that the evil Cassadines are no longer evil? Will the remaining family members, Valentin, Spencer, and Baby Ace, usher in a kinder and gentler family? Will Valentin marry Anna and the two of them head up a new version of Cassadines who are good to the citizens of Port Charles?

This may be too good to be true. Plus, what’s the fun in all that?

General Hospital Spoilers – What Will Happen When Nikolas Cassadine Returns To General Hospital?

Nikolas Cassadine is not dead, but he is being held on life support by Austil Gatlin Holt’s creepy cousin Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey). It is only a matter of time before he reappears.

Nikolas was in a bad place when Ava hit him over the head and thought she killed him. He had slept with his son’s girlfriend Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), then kept her hostage. He was fighting with Spencer and Laura and even threatened to take away Ava’s daughter Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola).

He could come back a changed man and run the Cassadine family in harmony with Valentin. But that is not very likely.

When Nikolas returns, it will probably stir up bad blood between him and Valentin. The Cassadines may just be up to their old tricks.

Stay tuned to General Hospital to see how it all plays out.
