General Hospital Spoilers – Lucy Coe Thought Marty Grey Would Marry Her

It was a shock to Lucy Coe’s (Lynn Herring) system when Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) announced he is never getting married again.

Yes, she said the same thing but hoped that Marty would have talked her out of it and beg her to marry him. Instead, he hightailed it from the table leaving Lucy despondent.

This week, Marty starts acting stranger than ever (relatively speaking) and Lucy starts wondering why he keeps avoiding the subject of The Deceptor.

“She’s really invested in Martin emotionally,” Lynn Herring said in the July 3, 2023, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “Finally, there’s someone she can play with, someone she feels really gets her. So, the fact that anything feels off is just breaking her heart and she decides she needs to know what’s going on. She doesn’t want to feel like he’s doing anything behind her back, but she needs to know, ‘Can I trust him?'”

To that end, Lucy enlists the help of old pal Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) to help her out. Felicia has been needing another caper to sink her teeth into and this seems like the perfect one after the Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) adventure that helped bring down Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy(.

However, things might not be what Lucy suspects. General Hospital spoilers show Marty is clearly getting money from one of his ex-wives and that might be why he doesn’t want to marry again. If he does, that money source might dry up. So, this might have nothing to do with The Deceptor at all.

Or, it can have everything to do with cosmetics as Jackson Montgomery (Walt Willey) is set to arrive in town any day and he was married to a cosmetic company rival, Enchantment. As ABC soap fans will recall, Eric Kane (Susan Lucci) owned Enchantment and this might all tie together.

In the meantime, Lucy and Felicia will enjoy their adventure and might run into some more familiar ABC daytime pals along the way. This looks to be a very short story arc, but will most certainly be a fun one. Stay tuned to General Hospital weekdays to see how these stories play out.
