GH Spoilers: Trina Claps Back When Joss Suggests Spencer Is Warming to Esme

General Hospital spoilers claim Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) has been a bit too busy with family matters lately to worry about what Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) is up to when she isn’t around, and she’s not going to take kindly to Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) inferring Spencer is into Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) in any way, shape, or form.

Trina isn’t entirely comfortable with the living situation over at Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) place. Her boyfriend is living with his ex; not many women would dig that. But she trusts Spencer and knows their past with Esme was a disaster he hasn’t forgotten.

Still, the signs of Spencer softening toward Esme are there, and Trina has noticed them. Perhaps that’s why it’ll sting so much when Joss hints there is more to the story than Spencer is letting on.

General Hospital Spoilers — Joss Jacks Is Suspicious

Joss hasn’t been able to shake the way she’s feeling about Spencer ever since walking in on him and Esme after their co-parenting class at the hospital. Trina was downstairs reeling after Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) had been shot.

For whatever reason, Joss’ attention hasn’t fallen on the fact that Trina didn’t reach out to Spencer on her own during that crisis.

He had to hear what was happening from a third party. Instead, Joss is focused on what Esme’s embrace of Spencer might have meant — to him. Why didn’t he push her away?

Truth be told, things have changed between Esme and Spencer. They have become friends, not just two people who love Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay). He does respect her now — which is a far cry from where things were between them when she first gave birth to Ace.

Spencer has come around to seeing Esme as more than just someone who hurt him and his friends and set his family up as a target for takedown. She’s his baby brother’s mother and he’s not necessarily unhappy about that anymore.

Deep down, Trina knows Joss isn’t pulling her suspicious feelings out of thin air. Trina has had them, too, but she keeps stuffing them back down inside of herself and hoping they stay there, in the dark.

Trina knows Spencer isn’t acting the same as he used to. His complaints about Esme have dissipated. His concerns about her influence on Ace have as well.

Any interest he once had in taking custody away from her has gone by the wayside. But Trina is doing her best to ignore her feelings, and the last thing she needs is Joss trying to bring them to the surface.

So when she tries to broach the subject, Trina is going to shut Joss down fast. Will Joss take that as a sign that Trina isn’t ready for this discussion, or a sign that she definitely needs to have it? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
