General Hospital spoilers reveal Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) has been fighting hard to keep her marriage intact from the very first day it began. The ups and downs she and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) have run into could be a sign that this marriage was never meant to be, but she refuses to look at it that way. Instead, she sees a relationship that has stood the test of time.

She sees two people who found each other again after years apart and did everything they could to make it work. Then it fell apart, and they still came back together just in time for Curtis to botch things. Now, he’s paralyzed and adamant that he won’t stand for Portia’s pity. She thought she could tough this out — take him home and convince him she’s not going anywhere. But it looks like he’s the one who is leaving.

We are about to witness a rather emotional rollercoaster that Curtis goes through as he processes devastating news about his health. He was looking forward to a bright future with his wife but has been left reeling when he learned that he will likely never walk again.

The prognosis reveals that the damage to his spine caused by a bullet is permanent; all of the doctors agree. As Curtis grapples with this life-altering information, he will make a drastic decision that stuns his family and friends.

Portia is going to be floored when Curtis serves her with divorce papers. He wasn’t kidding around when he asked for her to stop visiting her at the hospital. When all of his attempts to annex her from his life go unnoticed, he will resort to whatever measures he has to in order to send the message to his wife loud and clear that their marriage is over.

Portia will know in her heart of hearts that this can’t be what Curtis wants, but he is fearful that she’s only standing by him out of pity. If a divorce is what it takes to prove to him that she’s with him because she wants to be, that’s what she’ll have to do.

This will be the lowest Curtis has felt in a very long time. Being on his own might not be as easy as he thought it would be, and he can only rely on his father and aunt so much. Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) and Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) aren’t exactly spring chickens anymore.

Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) could come around to help out, but it’s unlikely since she said she was officially moving on from her ex and hasn’t even been around to check in on him since the shooting. Will this leave his care resting on Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) shoulders?

Curtis may be just as hesitant to let her tend to his wounds and take him to appointments, and let’s be honest, he doesn’t need his brand new daughter helping him bathe and take care of himself as he gets accustomed to not using his legs.
