Parenthood is a never-ending job, and we all want what’s best for our kids. Plus, who wouldn’t be a little curious about what was going on in Greenland with Trina and Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) reunion? As Portia and Trina embrace one another and look to the future, Portia will come to regret not biting her tongue.
Loathes might be playing it too softly. Portia can’t stand the thought of her daughter continuing to chase Spencer and fall for his lies.
Why can’t Trina just see that Spencer is no good and will only lead her to heartbreak and devastation? Well, it might have something to do with the fact that Portia’s opinions aren’t necessarily synonymous with the truth.
Despite being thrilled about her daughter’s safe return, it seems that the harmonious reunion might not be as effortless as we thought.
The tension between these two ladies could easily reignite if Portia mentions her feelings of disgust toward Spencer.
Taggert — ever the rational and responsible dad — reminded Portia that she should keep her nose out of Trina’s business or she might just push her further away.
Trying to control who her adult child dates isn’t going to go well, as any parent of a teenager would tell Portia. Will she heed Taggert’s advice? Fat chance!
Nothing can stand in the way of Taggert and his love for Trina — not even a paternity test. While Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) may have some DNA in common with Trina, Taggert is the one who stepped up and raised her as his own, making him her true father in every sense of the word.
Honestly, who needs a biology lesson to know that love is thicker than blood? Both Taggert and Curtis are ready to run the extra mile to keep Trina safe, proving that love and loyalty are two things that truly make a family.
Trina, on the other hand, wasn’t ready to know who her biological father was when she stowed away on The Haunted Star with nothing in mind but Spencer’s safety.
Now, a near-death experience has shaken her up enough to realize she needs the peace that comes with that truth. It doesn’t hurt that Curtis came through for her in such a big way neither of her other parents did.
While Taggert shares Portia’s opinions of Spencer, he’s not about to throw himself under the bus with the guy just to attempt to sway his teenage daughter to share it too.
That’s never going to happen. So Taggert will swallow his words while Portia doesn’t hold back long enough.
Adding a layer of complexity will be Curtis, who has a different take on Trina’s relationship with Spencer after having seen them up close and in action.
They seem to have a bond that is more loyal and transparent than he can claim he had with his own wife, so what room does Portia have to complain?
This is about to get messy as Trina learns the truth about who her father is — and who is and isn’t on her side. Where do you think the chips will fall? Who’s her daddy? Let us know, and keep coming back for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
