Ironically enough, the mob kingpin really wants peace more than anything, and he expects Nina to deliver such by steering clear of his family and not chasing any riffs with his ex-wife. But Nina just can’t help herself, can she? When an irresistible opportunity presents itself, Nina is going to take it. Will she also live to regret it?
When Nina caught Carly and Drew embracing one another after learning they thought Willow Tait (Katelyn Macmullen) was going to be okay, she couldn’t help but notice how long that embrace lingered. Their behavior after they stepped back from one another told a tale. No one was supposed to see them like this — two friends, hugging. What’s the big deal? That’s exactly what Nina intends to get to the bottom of — even if she lets her aunt, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), do it for her.
General Hospital spoilers show Liesl is working hard to cozy up to her new great niece, Willow. With only an estimated few weeks left to live, Willow wants to make the most of that time by planning her wedding to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), and the family is rallying around her on all sides to make it happen in just two weeks’ time.
It’s looking like Liesl might be invited to share in the festivities of their happy day, and possibly even Nina and Sonny will be, too. However, close company with the Quartermaines on Michael and Willow’s wedding day could set the stage for very loose lips that sink ships. If Liesl gets wind of Ned Quartermaine’s (Wally Kurth) threat to report Drew and Carly for insider trading, all bets are off. Nina’s threat to expose Drew and Carly’s relationship won’t land well if either of them mentions it to Sonny, but she doesn’t know he’s already clued into their secret.
Nina has been keeping a safe distance from Carly and trying to focus all of her energy on positive thoughts about her daughter, instead of getting even with her nemesis. Still, it’s hard to ignore how much time she could have potentially had with Willow if Carly had come clean sooner. When Liesl relays the truth about Drew and Carly’s secret romance to Nina, she’s going to feel emboldened to use it against them.
This is the best way she could make Carly pay, but she knows Sonny can never know she was involved. He would never forgive her if she had anything to do with possibly landing Carly — the mother of his children — in jail. When it all goes down and Nina realizes Sonny already knew about Carly’s relationship with Drew all along and was protecting her, she’s going to panic about what she’s done. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead to see how it all pans out.
