General Hospital Spoilers: Michael And Dex Are In Over Their Heads

General Hospital spoilers hint Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) are way out of their league trying to take Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) down. Michael knew when he bit this project off that it would be a lot to chew. He wasn’t sure Dex was the best man for the job, but he was malleable, which is something Sonny always takes to in his associates.

According to General Hospital spoilers, Michael knows they’re in too far to turn back now, and that Dex could end up paying with his life if they try to call this thing off now, but he’s worried that Dex is going to screw things up the closer he gets to Sonny. That’s not going to be easy to avoid since Sonny expects Dex to live in close quarters with him up until the Pikeman deal takes place.

Moreover, the real reason Dex is fumbling isn’t because he’s not equipped to do this. The truth is, he’s not sure he wants to, and neither is Michael.

General Hospital Spoilers — Michael Corinthos Keeps Waffling

Michael does love his father. Underneath all of the anger and resentment, he doesn’t really want to ruin Sonny. He wants him to turn his life around and be the good man he knows he can be. That is easier said than done in Sonny’s world. A life in the mob is a lifetime commitment.

Michael should have taken that into account when he started thinking about undoing everything Sonny has worked for, as much of that keeps his life on track and keeps their family safe.

Michael has already tried to call this whole thing off a few times, and each time, Dex shows up to hammer home the same points that they’re too deep to turn back now and must see it through. The whole time, Michael’s instincts are telling him he doesn’t really want this.

Meanwhile, Dex is spending all of his time with Sonny and he’s starting to grow a soft spot for the guy that he just can’t ignore. Michael won’t be the only one waffling soon as Dex starts to reexamine why he has remained so committed to taking Sonny down.

Was it really to do him in, or is Dex interested in making sure he stays in close contact with the mob boss and forms an alliance that can’t be broken — not even by his son?

Dex might have his own agenda, and it probably has very little to do with wanting to be a part of the mob. It’s not a life that most choose, but Dex is likely running from a past that didn’t live up to expectations — as are most mobsters at one time or another.

Sonny has no idea that Dex has any other connection to him, and neither does Michael. But that doesn’t mean Dex is in the dark.
