General Hospital Spoilers: Laura Is At Risk, But Not From Russia

General Hospital spoilers hint Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) are headed to Russia soon. They are hoping an impromptu trip to Chechnya to scope out a family property Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) bequeathed to Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) in his will might prove fruitful.

Normally, Laura would take this kind of thing in stride on her own — perhaps, with backup from people like Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers). But this time around, there was no way Kevin was letting her travel to such a place without his company.

Is Laura nervous? Absolutely! Who wouldn’t be? Her comments about getting stuck in Russia and being unable to come home might not have been quite as nonchalant as implied. It’s a real possibility, and one that many fans are suspecting is going to go down.

Little does Laura know, the real risk lies at home in Port Charles, not overseas in the war-torn nation of Chechnya.

General Hospital Spoilers — Laura Collins Cannot Go To Chechnya

When Laura stopped by GH to meet with her doctor before heading out of town, she ran into another doc. Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) was busy peddling his opinions to Laura, and she wasn’t having any of it.

Never having had any uncomfortable exchange with him before, she was caught off guard by his unsolicited advice. Clearly, she made it known that it wasn’t welcomed.

As Laura marched off, ready to go pack her bags for Russia, Austin panicked inside before letting Ava Jerome (Maura West) know he was unsuccessful in deterring Laura.

GH Spoilers – Indicate Austin Gatlin-Holt Is No Ally

Austin has been behaving rather suspiciously as of late. Is it possible that he is not only an enemy of Laura but an enemy of Ava as well? Fans are starting to suspect as much.

When he first came to Port Charles, Austin seemed committed to the idea of moving on from his shady family business with Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey).

He wanted no part of whatever the boss lady was handing out. But recently, it looks like Mason may have roped Austin back into the mess with him. Is Austin really trying to help Ava, or is he working against her, pretending to be an ally?

Rumor has it Austin and Mason have it out for half of Port Chuck. Whoever is pulling the strings is doing a darn good job. Austin actually wants Laura out of town and out of the way.

It’s going to be much more difficult for the authorities — a.k.a. Laura’s best friends — to figure out what happened to her if whatever “happens” occurs in Chechnya. Is this the end of the line for Laura?

Maybe, maybe not, but it’s likely that Ava will be led to think it is – just as she has been led to believe Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) is dead.

Ava’s biggest fear is that something will happen to Laura while she’s gone, and it’s likely that Austin and Mason are going to play or that fear to bend Ava to their will. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead to see how this plays out.
