General Hospital Spoilers: Fans Say Austin Isn’t Jimmy Lee Holt’s Son

General Hospital spoilers tease GH viewers are eager to figure out what comes next for Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth).

Ever since he first came to Port Charles, some have suspected Austin was actually up to no good. Posing as a doctor — and a direct descendant of the Quartermaine family line — Austin was there to clear his alleged father’s debatably good name.

Asserting that Jimmy Lee Holt (Steve Bond) was his claim to the Q name — and to reopening Edward Quartermaine’s (John Ingle) estate — Austin may have overplayed his hand with one Q in particular.

Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) is no dummy, and she likely didn’t waste time confirming Austin was who he said he was when he went snooping around for documents that would link Jimmy to Edward.

Alas, that was never the question they should have been asking.

When Austin first came to town and was intent on staking his claim to the Quartermaine name, everyone already having any claim to it was pretty taken aback by his approach.

It seemed as though he thought he would just walk into their lives, say who he was, and that would be that.

The Q’s were so preoccupied with keeping Edward’s estate settled that they focused all of their attention on technicalities and slinging insults about Jimmy’s bastard child status.

In reality, what they should’ve been asking for wasn’t proof of how Edward felt about Jimmy, but who Jimmy really was to Austin.

What few questioned was whether Austin was actually linked to Jimmy. They took his word on who his father was and had little recourse for verifying anything by DNA given that Jimmy and Charity Gatlin (Gloria Carlin) are both long gone.

If Austin was never actually connected to Jimmy in the first place, it could’ve been a cover he ran with that fizzled out.

But more so, he might have known Jimmy well. Jimmy may have even raised him. But that doesn’t mean he’s a Quartermaine.

Cyrus has come back into play in recent weeks, and it’s clear to anyone paying attention that he is far from a born-again Christian.

Cyrus seems to believe his faith will absolve him of his intentions to do harm for the so-called right reasons.

When Austin visited him for a checkup in Pentonville, Cyrus wasn’t expecting him to offer up a slew of thank you’s for taking care of him and bringing a smile to his mother’s face so many years ago.

Just what was Austin hinting around to? Is Cyrus some kind of past lover to his mother, or is it possible Cyrus is actually Austin’s biological father?
