General Hospital Spoilers: Esme Struggles With A Guilty Conscience — Has She Actually Changed?

General Hospital spoilers leak Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) might be falling for Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), but that doesn’t mean she wants to deceive him or win him by any unfair means.

In fact, that may be the last thing she really wants. The old Esme wouldn’t have done anything to succeed at an attempted conquest, but the 2.0 version has other plans in mind.

She’s looking for real love and acceptance, and she knows that doesn’t come by way of sabotaging Spencer’s current relationship with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), nor by tricking him into caring about her.

If it’s going to count and mean anything to her, it has to be real — and that might not be so out of reach after all.

It sounds like Esme has done some serious growing up over the last year. Becoming a mother will often have that effect.

While no one expected Esme to rise to the occasion and actually take care of her child, she’s gone above and beyond to meet his needs — making hard choices along the way she didn’t love but knew they were best for him.

Such as, moving in with Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and fam. Hearing Spencer recently say she’s a good mom seemed to induce butterflies in Esme’s belly. But she’s well aware Spencer isn’t available — or is he?

Spencer hasn’t only picked up on Esme’s attentiveness to her baby boy, Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay).

He’s noticed she’s not a bad looking young woman, and he’s also noticed she can be pretty attentive to him at times, too. He’s not bothered by that the way his girlfriend would probably expect him to be.

Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) let Esme have it when she caught a glimpse of her getting too close for comfort with Spencer. Does she see something Trina doesn’t?

General Hospital Spoilers — Trina Robinson May Be Warming To Someone Else

Rumor has it there are love triangles abound headed for this friend group this fall. It makes sense that Spencer and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) are still enemies without a cause; they’re not going to be any fonder of one another as Trina takes a liking to Dex she never saw coming.

Of course, Joss isn’t going to be keen on her best friend and her boyfriend getting so chummy either, but that doesn’t mean she’d welcome Esme into the fold just to spite Trina, does it?

Either way it sounds like Esme won’t have to lift a finger to get Spencer firmly planted in her corner.
