General Hospital spoilers reveal Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) must be the most beloved woman in Port Charles. It certainly wouldn’t surprise Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to hear such. She routinely laments how Carly gets away with everything. That’s why she turned her in to the SEC. She thinks it’s high time Carly pays for her wrongdoings — and this time, she’s on the hook for something she actually did, not just something Nina thinks she did to her.

Nina fully expected Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to cling to each other during this process. So what better way to dismantle their confidence than to plant seeds to help them turn on one another? That might have worked, if only Nina’s own beau, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), wasn’t about to jump in to compete with Drew.

General Hospital spoilers show Drew is preparing to turn himself in to the feds. If he pleads guilty, it is his hope that his attorney, Zeke Robinson (Gavin Houston), can negotiate a deal with the authorities to drop all the charges against Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). But if the feds are really angling for Sonny in all of this, will it help Drew at all to forsake himself?

Will the feds even agree to give up the leverage on Sonny’s ex if he’s their real target? When Drew tells Carly he is going to turn himself in and confess, she just might hint that she has other plans in store.

GH Spoilers – Hint Sonny Corinthos Won’t Hear of It

Carly isn’t the only one who won’t be down with Drew’s plan to be the sacrificial lamb. Sonny is no saint, but he knows this ruse to get Carly in jail is just bait on a hook hoping to snag him.

Sonny wasn’t going to let Carly go to jail for his crimes, so to speak, but he may not feel it’s his place to excuse Drew of the same. On some level, he also might not mind it if Carly’s other half was locked up for a few years, leaving her single and lonely.

Nevertheless, Drew isn’t going to consider Sonny’s opinion in the equation, so if the don wants to intervene, he’ll have to turn himself in as well. Who will negotiate the better deal?

General Hospital Spoilers — Nina Reeves Puts On The Pressure

When Nina learns that Sonny plans to sacrifice himself for Carly, that’s going to be the proverbial nail in the coffin for her. She has gone through so much — most of it self-inflicted, no less — to be with Sonny.

He has no idea the lengths to which she has gone to put this plan in motion, and now the irony is that she may lose Sonny because of Carly anyway — and because of her own actions.

Nina’s last-ditch effort to sidetrack Sonny’s plans could include appealing to Ned to get the SEC to back off. But what is he going to want in exchange for that?
