When Curtis told Portia he was coming home, she was over the moon and ready to accept any and all terms he imposed — but she isn’t aware that one of them is being cool with him carrying a torch for his ex and using this time to figure out who he loves the most. Is Curtis really home to make it work with Portia, or is he just checking this off his list to say he tried before he runs back to Jordan?
Curtis and Jordan share many memories together. Still, none are so recent and impactful as the near one-night stand they almost started at The Savoy last week.
When he drops back into work after unloading his things at home and learning he has a daughter, he’ll see memories all around him of the embrace he shared with Jordan that he doesn’t plan on forgetting about.
Of course, it’s not going to come across that way to Jordan — who will be stunned to hear he moved back home, and apparently forget to tell her about his big decision that he made just hours after planting one on her.
Curtis doesn’t want to make the same mistake twice. It’s clear to him now that he may have run away from his marriage to Jordan too soon, without really giving things a chance to see if they could work it out. He was so blinded by his rage at the time that the only way forward he saw was the exit sign.
By the time he could have cooled his heels and calmed down, he was already warming up to the distraction of Portia re-entering his life. Is that about to play out again?
Is Jordan just a distraction from the issues Curtis doesn’t want to deal with in his current marriage? Or did he actually stay in love with Jordan and use Portia as a distraction from that all of this time?
Curtis can’t seem to separate fact from fiction when it comes to his feelings. Unable to see the forest through the trees, it feels like he loves Jordan today as much as he always did.
She’s familiar and comfortable. She feels good at a time like this when he is otherwise feeling so betrayed by his wife and even his auntie, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson). But he knows stepping out on his marriage isn’t the way to solve any of his problems, even if Jordan was the one who had to remind him of that.
Is moving home the best way to figure out if he still loves his wife enough to forgive her, or is he just going to discover that’s not where he wants to be at all?
The biggest question is: will he tell Portia he’s in love with Jordan before he acts on it? Keep checking back with us for more GH news and spoilers just ahead so you don’t miss a moment of this love triangle.
